Who May Borrow?
An applicant must be:

an active, full member of a United Methodist Church
for at least one year prior to application
-
a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
-
admitted to a degree program in an accredited college/university
OR a degree candidate attending a professional or
graduate school accredited by its respective professional
accrediting agency
-
maintaining at least a C average (or equivalent)
How Does One Apply?
A student attending a school related to the United Methodist
Church should contact the financial aid office at the
school. That office should have the necessary loan application
forms.
At many state and independent colleges, the United Methodist
campus minister serves as the loan representative for
the United Methodist Student Loan Fund. For the name
of the loan representative at other private professional
schools, write to General Board of Higher Education
and Ministry, The United Methodist Church, Office of
Loans and Scholarships, P O Box 871, Nashville, TN 37202-0871.
Contact their office for further details regarding deadline
dates, legal obligations, repayment of the loan and
amounts.
STUDENT AID FOUNDATION LOAN
The Student Aid Foundation Loan offers
educational loans to females who are Georgia residents
(attending school in or outside state of Georgia) or
out-of-state females attending a Georgia school. You
must have average grades, a keen sense of responsibility
and personal integrity. This is for undergraduate or
graduate study. You may be a traditional or a non-traditional
student. There are three deadline dates: April 15, June
15, and October 15. Please note the deadlines are for
the upcoming school year. For further information contact
